Any recalls on windshields for Tacoma trd models? Truck was parked Saturday to yesterday. Got in vehicle and there was a crack about 6-8 inches long. No debris anywhere near the truck and no cracks before at all.

Not yet there is not, usually with new vehicles you should have full glass coverage on your insurance.

Just a heads up I don't know one Toyota dealer that messes with windshields when they are cracked usually they have a 3rd party company that comes in a replaces or repairs the windshield

Definitely not covered under warranty. If you have comprehensive insurance coverage, it should cover it(of course you'll have a deductible to pay). If you do have comprehensive coverage, make sure to ask for/demand OEM Glass. They'll give you some bs about aftermarket being of equal quality, but I have yet to see aftermarket glass that's as nice as oem glass.

They'll find a rock chip, they have special tools. It's the angle of the windshield, they crack real easy, especial in gravel counties.

In alberta FJ's and Tacoma's are lucky to get 2 years, my sister had hers crack after 1 month.

It doesn't hurt to ask/demand when it comes to dealing with insurance, the worst response you'll receive is "No". When I asked for OEM glass for a cracked windshield, they said "your vehicle is only 2yrs old, so we'll replace it with OEM Glass". It didn't cost me a penny more than the $100 comprehensive coverage deductible. Windshield was replaced on a 2010 Civic Si(its windshield was huge), I laughed my ass off when I saw the $800 receipt.

I've seen some shitty aftermarket windshields, from the glass being off color to hundreds of small chips that look specks of dirt. Regardless if insurance covered it or not, I would never put an aftermarket windshield on a 1-2yr old 35-45k truck. As they say, to each their own.

It's a dollar bill measurement, if the crack is larger than a dollar bill then you will end up replacing the glass.

Same shit happened to me on my 2018 Limited. Crack is at the top, in a place behind the headliner, and seems to be in between the glass. Dealer says its a “common problem” !?! Create a case by calling Toyota, I did. If enough of us do maybe they will issue a recall or something. This is BS!
