    So we have

    57 psi of fuel pressure
    A new Fuel Pressure Regulator
Noid Light that pulses on the injectors
And still the injectors fail to fire?

I don’t want to think that 57 psi is to much pressure for the injectors to over come, but at this point you have to think it is a very likely possibility.

Me, being the type I am, might try to find a way to make an injector fire MANUALLY. Since you already have the fuel rail setting there.
Just to be certain they don’t work, BEFORE I replaced the fuel pump.
I won’t tell you that you should do that, I just don’t like doing fuel pumps.

This has me baffled, I’ve never seen a fuel pump go bad by creating too much pressure.
Then again, I don’t do this on a daily basis.

Same here. I guess it is possible that too much pressure will prevent the injectors from opening...?

He could use clips and connect an injector momentary to the battery to cycle it. Just don't leave it energized for extended periods of time the coil will fry. The coils should read about 12 Ohms across the terminals.

It will fire and run momentarily on happy-sniff, so that pretty much rules out timing issues.

I'm not to sure that rules out timing. I think it will run on starting fluid with the timing off a bit. Yes no?

You can get some flames and farts with starting fluid where you wouldn't with gasoline, but as the OP describes it as, "Starting right up and running for a second", I was interpreting that as normal running. If it starts and runs normally on ether, unlikely (IMO) to be a timing issue.

All right so finally figured out the fuel lines on the rail are different sizes a friend pointed out that normally the fuel in is the bigger of the two I had them switched where they come in to the engine bay it now runs but won’t go over 2000 RPMAnd the check engine light is flashing but not pulling any codes

Sounds like the ECU is in limp mode

Yes this! Try resetting the ecu to see if it’ll clear the fault.

Isn't a flashing CEL indicating a gross erratic misfire situation...

Glad you found it. Now for the flashing CEL and misfire.

Flashing CEL generally indicates an issue with the catalytic converters, but I'm not so sure that's the case here. Not going over a certain RPM also is an indication of a catalytic converter issue. I don't know if that was caused by using the starting fluid (I doubt it, but it is possible). I'd attempt resetting the ECU by unhooking the battery for a few minutes and then see what happens.

Usually when CEL is on it means some sort of emissions fault and it needs to be checked out but not immediately. When CEL is flashing that means the condition is more serious and needs to be addressed immediately. I read this somewhere along in one of my many owners manuals.
