I tend to think that people who own trucks or suv's think they can drive a little faster in the rain than others w/small cars and be ok.........not so.

X2. Yeah people here are driving as if there is no rain on the ground. As i was driving to work i seen these two cars racing each other its like come on man is there really a need for that. iono it just pisses me off to see people drive recklessly in the rain bc when they wipe out, they can possibly take you out as well.

be careful out there guys and watch out for those idiot drivers. take your time no matter what your going to get to your destination.

I'll take rain over sleet and icy roads every other day. Here in NC we're coming out of (I hope) a crappy stretch of weather. Colder than usual for us, although it's not that bad... it's the snow/freezing rain/sleet cycle that I'm getting tired of. Snow for a couple of hours to get the ground cold then shifts to sleet to glaze everything. Just snow, dammit! Quit turning the roads into a skating rink and knocking all the trees down!

And nope... people here can't drive in rain or this frozen crap.

So much rain here over the past day and night. I like it, but people don't know how to drive in it. I almost got rear ended yesterday when a lady was driving to close to me and had to stop in the shoulder beside me when I put on my brakes.

Sure you can. More weight on those tires means less chance of hydroplaning. If you're in 4x4 you're taking half the power and torque from the rear wheels which spin out on you and putting them to the front where all the weight is.

I'm not saying drive like a douche, but drive for the conditions and know your vehicle.

The majority of trucks in my area are 2wd.....their is usually no weight in the rear of the vehicle.....I have seen more of those trucks hydroplane than I wish to see..........I don't care how heavy my vehicle is I am still not going to travel faster than the speed of traffic is going in a rain storm.......I would rather save my life/a life than a couple of minutes.
