No rattles in mine but I do not have the power locking one. I have thought about insulating the tailgate however , as I sleep in the back of mine and the insulation would help.

I just installed mine yesterday and I do not have any rattles, however it is loud when un/locking.

Did you leave the foam block attached to the back side?

I also taped down the wire coming off the lock mechanism and zip tied all the extra wire up really good.

Yea I left the foam blocks on but I wonder if they might have fallen off. I am seriously thinking about insulating the tailgate.

I just posted a write-up with photos HERE.

I used 2 blocks of foam, and a bracket I made: no rattle.

Mine has been install within the first week of getting my truck. Does not rattle or anything like that. I believed I had an sponge underneath it.

As for the sound. I guess I got used to it overtime?
