Thanks man, lookin for even big travel numbers with these 14 in Fox's... But will be strapped and and hopefully bumped

 

I feel like you won't have much up travel with that shock. What size bumps you running? I bought some 13" icons and going to do something like you setup.

 

I'm running super small bumps like 1 inch. That's where I'm getting travel from

 

And I'm bumping up from my 13 inch icons to 14 inch Fox's with resis, posted above

 

wont your leafs be way into negative arch by then?

 

Well see the thing is.... They're small bumps because my stock ones broke into pieces and now they're only like 1 inch tall now.... I've been saving for hydraulic and going to,do sprin under and I wouldn't doubt if they were way into negative

So.... I was doing a droop test... Brake line is limiting it so this is the full droop right now. Shock has 4" of shaft left in the body

 

Nice! Did somewhat of a similar setup on my truck in the past. Downside, stock leafs suck ass the overload leaf is going to make it ride terrible, deaver J59s are good temporarily, downside on them is they only can pull 10-11" of travel and in that its bad going into negative arch. Stock leafs is worse. If your going to really push the truck you must fully build the rear end, with spring under leafs. As for running air bumps, its pretty nice benefit, downside theres not alot of room. You would have to get a bump and make it a 1-2" stroke, and place it up agianst the frame. Yeah Id get a extended brake line, and as for shackles dont get any lift shackles, it only makes the negative arch even worse which shortens the leafs life, Ive personally cycled the leafs with and without shackles and have pics of my old setup if you wanna see.

 

I saw your build! Saw how you did the everything and it helped me get a baseline of what I wanted to do. I need dealers so bad, hopefully I can do spring under. I want it badly I'm going to do the fox 2.0x2.5" bumps on my frame too.

 

Needs leafs. Looks like same amount of travel (of ALOT better quality) then i got out of my 10" stroke shocks and 2.5" leaf pack.

 

I need to get new leafs very badly but my wallet tends to agree, minimum wage jobs don't really help

 

And basically these are 10 inch stroke right now... The droop right now only uses about 10 inches of the shock because of leafs and brake line

 

broke college student here too, working 3 jobs. I cut brake line mount off and lowered it a couple inches and now it doesnt go tight when that tire is drooping. cheap bastard mod.

 

That's what I was thinking about doing... I might just do an extension then be good. But I need deavers so bad
