okay! the front way is a graded road that a lowered car can do, it goes up to a little town on top of a mountain, and we will be camping up there. i tihnk the dirt road is around 15-20 miles long

it used to be pretty dam bad where its almost a must to have sliders. its easier now though you can do it with a stck 4wd. but no way in a 2wd

The front way is 24 miles off of the I-17, if I remember right. The back way is something like 36 miles off of the Carefree Highway where Castle Hot Springs road exits off.

I still think a 3" lift is required unless you want to slide. Stock height on some of the boulder washes would be a little tough. Definitely 4wd and some decent traction on your tires to be safe.

i did it stock.... well wait. i had my billies with eibach coils the back stock with 31s. i didnt even have to have anyone getout and spot me... but thats just me. and it could have gotten worse so i dont know.

i think i did hit once.. so if you dont want to slide 3 inch lift is most likely required

hey Adam, you entering in from Carefree hwy or going all the way from the back way of lake Pleasant? got a good solid runs in there to get a lil speed up. have to slow down at one point for a couple of houses that dont want the dust but a mile of that aint bad, then its on like Donkey Kong

Actually, the Carefree Highway entrance and the back way of Lake Pleasant are the same way. The "back way" refers to taking the Carefree highway west of the I-17 for about 12 miles, just passing Lake Pleasant, and turning off on Castle Hot Springs road. It goes partially behind Lake Pleasant then goes north up the mountain.

The "front way" is by taking the Bumble Bee exit just past Black Canyon City and hauling ass up that graded road. You have to creep through Bumble Bee itself, but after that it truly is game on.

    Is that what you meant?

Adam, well i think that is correct. i went with my cousin, and we actually drove to the back entrance of Lake Pleasant, and instead of going right to the Lake and past the lil guard shack, we turned left and went from there. Followed the trail until it forked, used the painted CK rock and owned that trail and popped the cherry on the blue devil. :)

That is correct, sir. If you passed the spraypainted CK rock, that's the back way.
