Just wondering if anyone has been up to Crown King via the back way recently. If so how was the trail? I have a 3" lift 4x4 with some duratracs, would that be able to make it pretty easy? I plan on going Saturday morning so if anyone would like to tag along your more than welcome. Thanks

I haven't ever been all the way up the back way but that was before my lift and tires. I got about 2/3 of the way in and turned around out of boredom. If you want to go, I would love to check it out as I am looking for folks to wheel on Saturday anyways. Let me know if you're serious about it.

Ya I really want to go down some trails on Saturday. If you would like to go just let me know and we can find a place to meet and pick a time. I will be free all day so whenever is good for me. The more the better :)

Count me in. I'm thinking we meet up at like 8am on Castle Hot Springs road by the fee station or something. Or if you want, I always hit up a bagel shop on I17 and Carefree Hwy before I hit the lake and we could meet there.

Too bad I didn't see your post before now.

I was out there on vacation from 6/19 - 6/28, I live in St. Petersburg, Fl.
My son-n-law from Surprise, Az. wanted to go to CK trail. But we talked to FlyingWil (Will) at Sierra Expo and he didn't think it would be wise to go out there by ourselves.
So we went to Harquahala Moutain instead. We had a blast checking out old mines and caves, and a Great view from the top of the mountain. I posted a couple of pics below. The silver Tacoma is mine.

I'll have to post up our next vacation.
We are looking to move out there by next early summer if we can find jobs.
