No labeling inside the cover you took off?

I don't have the same year, so can't guarantee the fuse layout to be the same.

How did you determine the correct resistances for the Tacoma?

Well I didn’t - just used the resistors from the Yaris.

    That could be an issue.

New clock spring didn’t fix it.

I see this is an old thread, but hoping the OP can give an update. I have the same problems with my 05 tacoma TRD Sport. Auto trans. The CC worked up until about a month ago, now the dash light will not come on and the CC does not engage. I have replaced the CC stalk and it still is not working. The light still does not come on. Any update on your issue, Jmicrogers would be appreciated.
Oh, I checked the fuses in the engine compartment, all are good. Horn works, brake lights work, headlights work, inside lights work. No problem lights when switch turned and cranked.

I don't know about the OP but i had the same issue in my 2006. I replaced the clock spring myself and it was the issue, has worked great ever since. Just something to look into~!

Spiral cable or clock spring whatever you want to call it in the steering wheel.

Okay. Spiral cable is next. Seems relatively cheap and easy to replace. Should be in the mail next week. I’ll update for others in the future.

Yes. I would press my CC on button with nothing lighting up. I also swapped a new CC stalk in and nothing again. If it is your Spiral Cable i believe if you turn your wheel all the way to one side, the CC might turn on. This was the case for me then i knew it was the spiral cable. It could be something else for you, but this was my experience with it. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. AS soon as I read your experience with turning the wheel, I went and tried mine...no luck. Mine still didn't turn on. Oh well, we'll see after Spiral Cable replacement.
