Custom grill from machine shop??

Hey guys. Pretty new to the tacoma game, coming from a jeep TJ and a mk7 gti. Wondering if anyones had any luck getting a custom grill made from a machine shop? Can't really justify 500-700$ for 30-40$ worth of metal at the moment, had one shop quote me about 150-250$ if I can get them dimensions/design.


Has anyone else done this? If so how did you go about designing it? I'm decently familiar with CAD designs, just not sure what dimensions I will need or if there are certain tabs that are required to be in place for the grill the stay in place besides the ones directly under the hood.

Also i'm looking at a similar style to the BAMF grill and the other one thats similar to that. Might do "TACO" on the grill.

 

Just take the grill off your truck and give it to them “these measurements”
