I am going to be trading my MTB that ive use a handful of times for this kit.( if the guy doesnt back out) Since i never use my bike id figure Id try it out and see if it works out

What are your thoughts on it? Opinions Please some insight would be helpful

Here are the specs per post

I have a custom long travel suspension kit with heims. Was built for a 2wd Tacoma but with custom mounts on the frame can be run on any thing pretty much. Comes with upper and lower A arms, custom spindles with brake calipers. Does NOT come with wheel spacers or rotors. Cycles 15" at the wheel and is about 3" over per side on a tacoma. It's a 6 lug but was on a 5 lug taco. Heims all around. Also comes with complete steering rack with extensions and heims. $700 or trade for DH bike or 35" + tires

This is the post info doesn't have the steering rack and brakes But comes with everything else

*** from what he told me he bought the truck with the kit on and said the kit was built by Trail gear.

Hows does this sound? does it seem like i can Prerun it or just a Street Queen

This is some info he gave me????? Thoughts ??????

Ok so the three frame mounts you have to weld to frame are very simple. Bolt the lower control arm rearward bushing into stock location and line up the forward one then weld in. Bolt the spindle to lower CA and then to upper CA. Line the upper mounts up on top of the frame and weld in. To get the full range of motion with this kit I'd recommend a 10 or 12" coilover. Use probably 350 over 450 springs. Set ride height with 60% of shaft showing for best high speed/jumping performance.

Because the kit was built for a 2wd Tacoma which pretty much means a 5 lug. You do not want to mix suspension components from another frame. It will cost more money and not work correctly.

Also, the spindle will not work for your truck. You would either have to get one built, which is more money, buy one or modify the kit to work with your current spindle.

So save your money for a kit that would work with your specific truck mate.

the only reason im thinking about this is cuz its for a MTB i dont use

    It comes with the spindle

Seems i would have to find brakes for it and aslo have an enging cage done for it to be done right. In pic its a 6lug but it was put on a 5lug.

I know it would cost some money which is why im asking get this one or Save and buy
and by the few responses and the more I think I would probably spend the same or save money (and headaches buying new)

and i know if I trade and dont want it itll be hard to sell or trade again

Wow pass on that. His instructions on installing are far from easy and why is he using donuts? that gives the best high speed and jumping? That guy has no idea what he is talking about. How much is your MTB worth?

Even though it comes with a spindle, it is not meant for your truck. 5lug vs 6lug spindles are way different.

I may sell my Camburg LT kit next year. Be on the look out for that as i will let it go for pretty cheap :)
