Does anyone know if there is a vendor out there that could make a plug that will cover the holes in a factory-installed DAI? I emailed Meso, but unfortunately they don't do custom orders like this.

    Intent:
To unbolt the snorkel from the fender and attach a cover over the holes. Even if it looked exactly like the lower section of the snorkel (what I circled) but was just an enclosed cap, I'd be cool with that.

If you are able to make something like this, or know someone who has/can, please let me know. The only catch would be that the part would have to be shipped to my APO, however this would be small and light enough so it wouldn't be an issue.

    Note:
I'm not going to order a new fender while in Europe because it would be insanely expensive, but I am able to order my other parts so the fender holes are the only thing stopping me from ripping this off the truck.

I've seen the other threads that were just ramblings of duct tape, "why did you buy one with the DAI", etc. Cool. I'm looking for actual advice on who would be the one to contact about such an item/request.

    Thanks!

It's be cool if someone made a honeycomb / checkered style cover for it.

Yea that would be cool too. Dudes get pretty crafty with their plastic works so I figured there has to be a shop that can knock one out easily.

I don't think you'll find a willing vendor, as I doubt there would be enough demand. Any "proper" custom solution is going to likely cost more than just buying a new fender, or getting one from a wrecking yard.

Injection molds are heinously expensive, 3d printing will take a lot of prototyping. Both cost a lot.

I think you’re right man. Wife and I are sitting here talking about it and that’s what we figured as well. Eh, oh well.
