Its called the Toyota grill style listed on his website with white as the secondary color. It also has a satin finish applied.

I did this mod with out having to pull the steering wheel apart. Just pry it up with a trim tool and cut away. Super easy. Don't let the horn startle you! lol

That’s how I did it. Then cut the alignment pegs short so they sat down in the hole enough to align it

Thanks man. Anyone on the fence about this don’t be scared. Product is top notch. Fit and finish is spot on. And I got the unfinished version. Love it

Disassembled the steering wheel and applied the new emblem earlier this year. Once you have a game plan, it’s a piece of cake. Still, when you see that airbag, you get that “holy shit” moment.

That is where I was. The sticker was nice, but not good enough.

anyone want to help me out??? i attempted to paint my emblem and it got messed up and all that. i properly removed it which was easy

the emblem has been out of the airbag way longer than i was looking for. was trying to have it professionally painted black sand pearl but it didn’t work out. so i’m getting the emblem returned back to me after 3 months of basically wasted time.
At this point i just want the emblem back in the airbag, would love if i could get it professionally painted but i don’t have anyone to do it. but for reinstalling i don't really want to glue it. @DiamondW was going to help me after i got it painted (which never happened) but he’s too busy with work and can’t help me out :(
i know a few of you have taken the physical bag out to re attach the airbag emblem with the pegs. but i just don't feel comfortable doing that
I have a second gen. if anyone possibly paints and has done this and wants to help me out we could set something up and i of course would pay ya.
But if no one paints anyone want to make a few bucks and just take my airbag apart for me and re attach the chrome emblem? i knew i shouldn’t of messed with it. i had it painted and i used some emblem glue which was mentioned in this thread but i didn’t know it was like silicone and would take several hours to set in properly.
Just want to finish this project as i’m sick of having no emblem installed.

Anyone who's attached one of the overlays instead of removing it and doing it that way... have any recommendations on what to use to attach it with? I know I have some e6000 sitting around somewhere.. but I thought someone said it wasn't the easiest to use (only because it ran/dripped a lot or something). But I'm open to ideas.

I was told to use E6000 in here to reattach my emblem i removed from my airbag
big no no. it doesn’t set instantly and unless you plan on sitting there holding it i wouldn’t recommend it. i tried tape and even that didn’t work too well.

i’d use an epoxy or i have heard others say just regular superglue.

because i used the E600 it basically made a mess

From what I've seen most people are using super glue around the outside edge. It's a bit permanent for my taste though. I'd go with hot glue or vhb.

Find something you like, do a full airbag removal, and use superglue. It’s not difficult, just a bit intimidating. In retrospect, piece of cake.

I ended up getting one of the overlays, not a removal/replacement badge logo.. I wanted to avoid taking my steering wheel apart and having to deal with the airbag. Sure, it might be easy for some.. but as a graveyard shift worker, I'd most likely not have time to tackle it until after work when I was dead and sleep deprived.. so that's a big no for me. I just wanted to slap it over the current emblem to ditch the chrome, even if it sticks out just a tiny bit further.

I'll give superglue a try though, thanks for the tips! No worries about it seeming a little too permanent.. That's the point for me. No more chrome! :)
