Ehhh, I'm taking a $50 intro welding class next weekend and will try to find a welder on craigslist for <500. I have plenty other uses for one though

You can buy a stick welder for like $90 bucks at harbor freight. The hard part is stick welding :luvya:

I need to get some new seats. I have T4R buckets but they aren't comfortable and my head is a little close to the ceiling. I tried WRX seats but they are too tall at the base. I'm thinking Celica or Integra seats might be good options

As I said the Subaru Buckets all I did was add 2 pieces of flat metal strap on the Subaru tracks to reach the bolt holes in the Tacoma floor - No Welding -No BS.

You have to swap the buckles from your old seat over. Not difficult if youve made it this far.

Those are the cleanest 4Runner seats I have ever seen. There are always 4Runners at my local yards, but the leather on all of them are all ripped and shredded to hell.

    Nice find.

More wheeler's have been built with one of those than probibly any other welder!

To stay on topic I swapped in power seats out of a 99 Camry. Lots of work but comfy as hell.

You happen to get it out of Pick-n-Pull San Jose North off Commericial St?

They had three Limited 4Runners last time I was there. All the e-lockers were gone. I don’t recall seeing any intact seats.

That would do it. Did it have the locking rear end still?

Was it a 4WD? I used a 4Runner shifter when I did my conversion, but the shift interlock is giving me problems and I want to replace it.

    Tranny and engine still intact?

Ah, I must've missed that one. I have Row52 set up so it alerts me over text when a Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra or Sequioa comes into a yard within a 30 mile radius of me.
