    The red caps can be found in any auto parts store. A multi size cap pack is ~$3.XX. Only has a couple of the appropriate sized red caps in it though.

    I have found the best primer for aluminum is zinc oxide primer (the yellow stuff).

    Expensive, but it works really well.

    So far everyone is capping. I tried to position the overflow barb so that even if you just ran a hose to it- it can easily be routed to or below the frame. That angle isn't an accident. @Norton (my other beta tester) and I decided that angle would be appropriate for most applications should anyone ever want to use it and not cap it.
