Yeah I’m good with that. Here is what I believe we are talking about. Let me know if I’m misunderstanding or you see something missing or incorrect.

You can use my headlight order form for now and just pay $49.

Ok, just to try to keep myself organized, I have 3 packages outbound tomorrow.

    57668F10-AB37-4617-8165-8675372C7EEF.jpg

Left to right this is one DRL grille light tap + pigtail for @Jeff Dartfrog, one pair of bed light T’s for @Boyettexan and one pair of OEM LED conversion harnesses without grille light taps for @nkegol4girl.

On deck I am still working on @Zumozuzu7’s Opus and collecting parts for the pair of headlight harnesses I’m building for @Empty_Lord’s and (hopefully) my first gen Tundras.

Hit up @Puppypunter first as he may already have something brewing?

You can already get brake taps from him and turn taps are a common request. Adding the diodes and making it fully plug and play isn’t a ton of work at that point.

if Johnny is too busy I can pick it up in late July.

Might be awesome if you have a photo of the connector the RTL-S uses.

I have done one for the RTL-S already, so yeah, it is something @daveeasa or I could do. Hit up @franco6888 and see if he has installed his yet ( I doubt he has since I am still waiting on measurements for extending the wire). The odd thing about the RTL-S is the wiring. They are just bullet connectors, so no real plug to match. The wires are also kind of short (@Baja Designs hook us up with some extra wire! Like 4’ on each side would be awesome!) so is what I did is have Franco6888 ship me the light, cut off the bullets and installed a deutsch plug. The turn signals come off of one wire, while parking, brake, and the white (reverse if you want it. I wired Franco6888’s for a scene light) are fed off the other side. I also wired his turn signals so they could be used as chase lights from his strobe controller, just FYI so you have an idea what is possible. So in his bed, there is a deutsch flanged receptacle on each side. We could also feed both wires to one side of you wanted. Depending on tricky you want to get kind of determines how complex it is. The other thing to note is that for brake light to work, the running light has to be powered as well. I got around this with diodes, so the brake light works whenever the brake is pressed regardless of the running lights being on or off. All done without taps, so I sleep better at night.

So this runs the Raptor lights off the DRL? However this wouldn't run the Raptor lights when the headlights are on?

Grille light tap is ON with either DRL or Parking Lights (which are on with parking lights, low beams, or high beams).
The two diodes perform a logical OR to accomplish this.
Should be OK for small current draw (like LED grille lights) but would need a relay for larger draws like light bars and such.

Effectively, grille lights are on whenever the stalk is not entirely off.

And for CANADA with always on DRL, presumably they would be always on (though I haven't sold any of this stuff to Canada.

Since it is modular, an additional 3 to 2 amp connector can be made to do DRL-only or Parking Light-only and a quick swap changes behavior. I gave @ljh824 two such modules so he can play around with them and pick the one he likes. Most of us tend to prefer the always-on with either DRL or Parking Light as that matches our intended behavior. Though for full effect it might be slick to have the grille lights dimmer with parking lights on, which could be accomplished with a dimming module. That's one potential long term plan @Puppypunter and I are kicking around but it starts to get out of control price-wise b/c the dimmer modules aren't sealed and all the extra parts add significant cost.

More work on @Zumozuzu7 ’s double harness last night, two switches, one for his hood scoop light bar and one for his ditch light pods.

Dave, I got my DRL harness today. It looks great. I'd like to get one of these ECT harnesses as well plus a DIR harness. Let mw know the price of this cable and I will add that to the $85 for the DIR. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Oh man. So, I'm leaving town on Saturday for 2 weeks and I'm not sure I can commit to the ECT extension harness for you before then. However, for the DIR, the form and payment instructions are all nice and streamlined in the DIR thread and USPS dropoff is easy for me, it's just print, stick, drop. Combining shipping might be nice but making you wait 3 ish weeks or more on the DIR is the only way to do that.

Got a bit of a start on the H4 male leads before the kids woke up and put that to a halt.

Man, does H4 suck or what. I definitely prefer a sealed connector.

That would be awesome. I'd be mounting mine to a bed rack from UpTop Overland at some point. I'd probably wire the white light to its own switch and would definitely want the running lights to only be on if my truck lights are on. I'm in no rush as I haven't even order the rack yet, but I could also have an RTL-S shipped to either of you for when you have time to work on it. Would it be possible to have the ambers as turn signals but also could be turned on with a switch but overridden if a blinker is on similar to the headlight DRLS?
