    I have an aero turbine muffler. With the piping stock (side exit) I got some brain-vibrating drone in the cab just under 2k RPMs. After chopping the pipe above the axle, the drone went away and it gained more of a deeper growl.

    The same thing happened with my magnaflow. Bad drone with the full catback and piping, side exit...chopped the tailpipe and the drone is gone.

    What'd you guys use to chop off the exhaust? A grinder? All I got at the moment is a hacksaw but I don't think it'd work that well.

    Listed in sig.......
    reciprocating saw works well but its harder to get it to tight spots,rotary air grinder is ideal. hacksaw would work but it would take forever and a day no doubt.

    I used a sawzall. You can use a hacksaw, it'll just take a little longer.

    sawzall worked great for me, angle grinder would work good too
