I have a 2008 Tacoma V6 4x4 I put a pro comp sage 1 6in lift on in October of 2013. In June of this year my driver side cv boot busted when I replaced it I noticed my passenger side did the same but looked to be dry rotted due to age so both were replaced a week apart. A week went by and I noticed the driver side had grease all over it again and it had torn so again I replace it (#2) also 3 day after that the passenger side AGAIN BUSTED. I'm about to be on my 3rd set of cv axles I need an inspection but dot wanna replace them again if they are just gonna keep busting. I don't know why this keeps happening my buddy works at an auto shop and suggested that the hight is why and every time I turn the wheels it's stressing the boots and causing them to bust. Does anybody have a solution to help me out???

Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
Can you put on a front differential drop kit or does your suspension setup not allow that? I know there are guys getting the CV's done about once every 6 months, but a week is just ridiculous.

Like Nighthawk said, a diff drop kit will help a little if it hasn't been done yet. The Pin hole could of come from over extension during installation. If the tulip bearings get pulled out of their bearing race(this is the inner cylinder that slides into the diff. Not sure of the correct name) the baffles of the boot can get pinched between the bearing and race.

I did a DIY high angle boot build that incorporated the boot slide mod, that might help.

One thing to help boot ware on higher angle applications is extending the boots down the shaft just enough so at normal ride height, the baffles aren't rubbing. Also making sure that the boots are not under negative air pressure as well.
