Yup. I haven't had to use one yet myself, but I think saying they are total shit is a bit harsh for sure.

For what its worth OP @HumanityForPresident01 are you sure all 4 of your new tires are the same size?

Edit: cause you either are real unlucky right now, or theres an underlying issue here..

I've heard good stuff about rcv, bit that is a good point...if the axle isn't the weak link what's going to be? Hub? Ring gear? Pinion?

The same size? Yes they are...
Unlucky yeah I'd say so. I just swapped out both sides in may from cardone (which took harsh abuse without failure) to DSS. DSS broke on my 2nd day of off-roading, changed to a Car Quest and it broke 15 minutes into riding trails. Both the car quest and DSS were shorter than the cardone.
The new napa one I got today is the same length as the cardone.

I'm going to try them, if the same shit happens, I'll try a pair of the cvj's.

I think the underlying issue was the low grade cv

for me, using A front locker with OEM axles, the weak point was the ADD differential tube. I’ve since upgraded to the AWD design which eliminates that weak point, and hopefully the CV axle will pop first, before the front ring gear.

Go to about the 5 minute mark here and you can hear what an exploding diff tube sounds like.

Oh, I've heard, and seen, the exploding diff tube in person. Maybe @tetten will stop by and post some of those photos. It was fucked. lol

My experience with Cardone CV’s has been terrible. Within one month, one of the boots tore, and I had to replace it. Now after a year and a half the seal on one boot has failed and all 4 boots (both sides) have serious rubber fatigue.

I think I’ll be ordering from CVJ.

I have about 2" lift. I do a lot of easy to moderate off-roading.

You will keep your part time case but put full time front differential in, see my thread here. You can eliminate 2 more points of failure in the front drivetrain and have an axle that goes directly from the differential to the CV.
