Currently running a 07 Tacoma DC/LB TRD Sport....installed an OME setup approx 20, 000 mile ago front and rear..886 coils upfront with no weight up there...an aal in the rear....been ripping inner cv boots regularly with mostly highway driving...Question is it the 886 coils with no additional weight causing my issue....would adjustable coilovers set a lesser height help? Thanks:cool:

I wonder if better aftermarket boots are available?

Years ago I put some on my Mazda when the OEM's first ripped, & they outlasted the engine.

did you put in the diff drop kit? I had that problem on my tundra and it needed a diff drop kit and that fixed it or could also possibly be the spacers

    A few bolts are different.
    just a theory.

Check your cv boots at ride height with the wheels strait. are the fins touching? if so there is your problem. the angles may be to severe, if the fins are tuching with the wheels strait and sitting at regular ride height, when you take turns the fins rub even more possibly causing them to rip.

Yes the fins are touching... exactly as you stated....is there a fix.....I am looking currently at a different setup.....which would be Icons front and rear with a deaver spring pack, which would allow me adjustability in the front on the cv angle. ?

the cv angles are directly related to lift height (0-3" of lift). so yes the Icons will allow you to adjust the lift height. with my coilovers i'm a little under 2.75" lift height, the cv boot fins dont touch, and I still run my 285's with 4.5" back spacing wheels with no rubbing.

Thank you for your help....I beleive that will be the route I take. Is there anything to the wheel spacers also contributing to this issue as the other TW member indicated in your opinion. At 2.75 is your truck sitting level? Thanks again

The Skyjacker Rear springs are 2" lift so the rear sits a tiny bit higher. I am almost 100% certain that the SpiderTrax have no contribution with the cv oots ripping, I ran a set before I got new wheels and had no problems...
