Dad's 1st gen

Hi, new guy here. So I recently bought my dad's 99 tacoma off him. He needed a newer "more reliable" vehicle. The old man bought it in 04 with around 50k. I bought it a couple months ago with 263k. I figured I'd help him out a little and buy it to help pay for his crv. Dad's been on a fixed and limited income for a while now. His repairs to the taco were needless to say frightening (sheet metal screws to hold door panels on and implement paint applied via roller to name a couple). I have since fallen in love with the ol girl and decided to breathe new life into her. I have already swapped grills, replaced the radio and speakers and added a couple, installed new headlights and changed over to l.e.d.s, and new interior door handles. I plan on painting it, tinting windows, adding a bed cover, replacing both bumpers, getting ready to start on cleaning up the steelies and repainting them. Gonna go with factory paint on the body and all the chrome will be black. The Interior is brown, I am planning on adding black accents there as well. Already started with the door handles, floor mats, etc. I'm wanting to swap the bench for buckets or at minimum pull the bench and add some cushion and a decent black seat cover. Anyways, this is my taco and any input or advice you have is welcome.
