    A continuation to this incident - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/abs-issues-c1408-c1416.705071/page-2

So, hate to pop back up on this thread, but since this is where the story begins, Im going to continue on from here.

I received my truck back, ABS codes went away. 2 days after receiving the truck back, CEL fired. The CEL is P0456, Small evac leak.

I called Toyota, schedule an appointment at the dealership. They conduct a smoke test, after trying to pin the cost on me (they dropped my gas tank to replace the frame harness, who do you think caused it). Then , they say it was my gas cap. Replaced Gas cap, free of charge, that's nice of them. Codes still exist. Then the tech says that it is my filler neck, and they order that part (install and part free of charge). Schedule install for 4 days later. Bring truck to get install, and ask for a transmission drain and fill (this would be at my charge). They do the filler neck, and then proceed to attempt a trans flush, that I didn't ask for. They ask if its ok to move my winch control box, which is slightly in the way of the tech getting to the location to conduct the flush. I say sure. The tech does not disconnect the winch power control box from the battery, then grounds out my winch, exploding the box. Looks at me and says, "well, I'm glad I asked you if I could move it"- like you blowing up my winch is my fault.

At this point, I just want my truck so I don't have to deal with them. I figure, hey, let me just leave, Ill try to replace the winch solenoid, and call it a day, and never return to this dealership.

Well, the Evap code (PO456) returned today. I've got an appointment to go on Thursday, and now I want my winch replaced, because I've had it up to my ears dealing with them.

The question here is, at what point to I go to another shop, and try and get Toyota to pay for it? I will update this thread on how this entire thing plays out.

Update to this 4/3/2020- toyota dealer ended up replacing almost my entire evap system minus the hoses (Fuel cap, fuel filler neck twice, entire evap canister assembly including the sensor)

I purchased the winch control box out of pocket because I didnt want to deal with them anymore.

Surprisingly, flagpole got pretty flexy in this spot. Had to actually change my approach angle

got my archive shock relocates in today. Had to cancel my durobump order, because they couldnt give me a recommended size with my rear application. Put in an order for archive ubolt flips and bumps, figured they will work with the kit they designed.

Ordered a pretty nice 1/2 torque wrench finally, and my front shocks should be here Monday ( to be installed on Tuesday)

posting in here so I dont forget. May need to get longer brake lines from Crown due to rear shock relocate. I already have some from toytec, but thinking they may be too short (23 inch is what the website says)

Fronts are on. And let me tell you, nothing works like a torch to heat up the top nuts. Spent almost an hour trying to break them free on the old man emu struts with 886s. Those shocks are complety beat to shit

Dang, sounds like I need to get a reroute done and get mine up, frame drilled and plate installed...before planning a trip up there (likely this fall).

I think it's mostly because I'm an idiot and try to take the hardest lines I can.

Although I will say that last obstacle going from meadow knob to flagpole knob has been rutted out with 37s and 40s, because I actually ended up on my passenger side slider on dirt there (like 2 feet of my slider left a dent in the dirt)
