Are those the switch back halos just wired in Amber? I need to replace my halos but don't want white.

 

Pretty sure you have to get halos that can run amber constantly. Unless they changed something.

 

Just switchbacks wired to amber. The TRS rep said the new gen of switch backs have no issues with bulb life running only on amber.

 

Sweet. I know on the first gen of them they didn't recommend running Amber 100% of the time. Gonna have to fix mine soon then.

Do you not need turn signals to be street legal?

Get the 200 and make it street legal. But really depends on what you're planning on doing with it.

Hand signals FTW. Turn signals add weight, and break off every time you drop it.

 

That's what I'm thinking. It will be a woods bike.
I think I'd enjoy it a lot for a first bike. It's a 2t so I don't need to worry as much about age because can rebuild it cheaper. It's light. It's cheap. And I can have fun with it learning how to put a DOT kit on it and such.

 

Or put the money into 35's and gears

 

I'm not worried about that, that will happen very soon. My Credit Card is almost paid off. What I do hate is the fact that once again I'm driving my mother chrome Jeep Wrangler around.

Plus I need a dirt bike. All my friends do it, and I totaled my mountain bike last fall so it's either spend like 3k on a mountain bike or buy a dirt bike hahaha

 

Why would you ever spend anything more then 100$ on something you have to pedal yourself...

I have to admit it does look fun... But you can do so much more on a motorcycle.

 

You can do a lot more, but they are a bit different of sports.

 

Lol it's a pretty fun hobby to get into. I was simply asking too much of my mediocre mountain bike and lost it in a pretty bad place. Not fun, but I was so glad for my full face helmet. Unfortunately I was an idiot and didn't wear gloves because it was just gonna be a quick easy ride and was so hot. Big mistake...
I'm very excited for a dirt bike though.

 

Maintenance is a huge plus of a a two stroke. Way cheaper and easier to work on. Even if you blow the crank bearings, and have to do a top and bottom end, it's not much wrenching and probably 1/4 the price of doing so on a four stroke. My 200 has a rebuilt crank as of a couple years ago. It was the originals the went out after like 15 years and a lot of hard hours. Perfect single track bikes. Although, I wouldn't be opposed to trying a new YZ250FX given the chance. Still like 30 pounds heavier wet with half the capacity gas tank.

Depending on the laws there, I wouldn't bother with a complete DOT kit. Find out what you need and buy the exact pieces you want individually.

I have no desire to have a race tuned bike like a YZ, a WR though for sure!
And yep that's the plan. Pretty sure I don't need turn signals or mirrors.

 

Well my headlights are finally completely done right.
Resealed with retro rubber
2 silica packs per headlight
1 gortex patch on each headlight
80 mm boots for perfect sealing off on the back
4500k bulbs. - These are amazing!! Nice white color. A little blue at start up but a perfect warm white under the cutoff. Ugh I love them!! Such an awesome upgrade.

 

Just buy a fucking DRZ400 already.
