    Also because I know a Canon specific website with rows of marketplace pricing for used, new, and refurb bodies, glass, and accessories.

    I know of no Nikon website, so didn't know if Canon was an option.

    One thing I've learned. Regardless of what camera you get, make yourself shoot in manual. You can read about each mode and setting all you want, but until you actually start playing with your settings to fine tune the picture you won't learn near as much.

    Not that my pics are that great unfortunately :anonymous:

    Monte is touring Utah at the moment.

    I'm a Canon guy so I know nothing about Nikon.

    Shoot raw files and get Lightroom to edit. A zoom that gets you over 100 will be helpful. If you want wide then get a wide specific lens.

    The rebel series has changed a bit recently but they're good cameras.
