Damaged tacoma

I am interested in buying a Tacoma and it has damage to the back wheel and not sure what will I need to buy (or replace) to get that rear wheel back on. And get that read end fixed

There's a lot more damage than just the back wheel and rear end I can almost guarantee that..
I personally would pass

 

i'd get a shop to inspect the frame before you waste any money on a totaled pos

 

Is this being bought from a guy on here? I saw pics of this type of damage in another thread after someone got hit bad...

 

x2 was thinking the exact same thing. looks almost identical

 

Remember it's a solid axle. Spring mounts, driveshaft, axle, frame, etc. would all be suspect. I would pass unless you intend to build an off-road rig and simply want a cheap starting platform.

 

I think the frame must be damaged... that was a hard hit!

 

Hard to say without a detailed inspection. The axle could've separated from the leafs.

 

That will buff right out...

 

False alarm. I saved the pic I found on the other thread - that one is dark blue. Looks like near identical damage though

That's more than just a damage to the back wheel.

If getting major parts from salvage yards was easier for this truck it wouldn't be too bad. But newer tacos dont get scraped very often.

 

Mine gets scraped all the time
But yeah, they're rarely ever scrapped.

yeah don't spend more than $500 without a mechanic checking it out..

 

It's a 2013 Tacoma long bed double cab! $18000

 

yeah def not looking like its worth 18K from the pictures we have.

 

If it wasn't that new i'd say it's totalled
