Sorry it took so long to get back to you, the answer I got was GROUNDS. Make sure all battery to chassis grounds are secure and clean. From what my buddy said, going back to air cooled VW's, the grounds have always been an issue and a good place to start. He adds grounds to the cars he owns and drives. It sounds simple I know, but thinking back to when I had a 1971 VW Bus, (5 years ago) I did add a ground strap from the starter to the frame and also I added an inline relay between the starter/battery because the relay only needed milli amps to trun the starter once the key was turned. ( in my case remember the key was up front, the battery and starter were at the rear being an air cooled rear engine) but he said to me that is a good place to start. Kevin

Bak Flip bed cover, shorty antenna, Peripheral iPod interface, Garmin 750 mount, add'l bed tie down rings, Westin nerf bars, hitch safe, tailgate lock, Ideal 1 3/4" turn-key clamp to secure tailgate from removal, Spare tire security cable, spare tire stainless air hose extender, Fumoto oil drain valve, Amp Research Bed X-Tender w/Schlage Cable Lock, bed mat, Redline hood struts
Sounds like loose battery or starter cable to me.
