    I work on powerlines. Currently in distribution, but worked transmission last year. They have a saying that everything in transmission is heavy and high.

    Edit: video finally loaded.. That's antenna towers, that's nothing. That's just high.

    I have a friend who was an Air Force "Cable Dawg" and worked on these towers that are some 1200ft tall over in the Netherlands. His stories and pictures were incredible. Man, I can't see doing that kinda work but more power to them.

    Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
    I've worked with several tower climbers over the years. Myself I've never been higher than 270 feet and that was 40 years ago. Most are a different breed as they say and some a little odd and some have a funny sense of humor. Back in the 70s I worked at a TV station with a 1000 tower and the tower crew was changing out the lights. From on top of the tower they threw a set of coveralls stuffed with straw over and one started yelling as it came down. I wasn't there but one of the engineers who was said he thought the the chief engineer was going to have a heart attack until he saw what it was and then he got really mad.
