When I would open my old one, there was literally no seal to break. It just spun off like a soda bottle cap

Update on Gas Cap

Finally had a long drive to see the difference in MPGs/fuel range when I drove down to LA last weekend on the 5. Headed south, I averaged 15.9 mpg with the A/C on and going 72-80 mph. I only stopped once for gas at a distance of approximately 255 miles - had about 1/4 tank left too. I used to have to stop twice. Coming back up the 5, I got 13.4 mpg under similar driving conditions - I think the 5 climbs in elevation more going north (not sure if true though).

Either way, it beats the hell out of 10-11 mpg highway I was getting while trying to hypermile prior to changing the gas cap. Easy and cheap maintenance item to keep in mind!

Powerstop K137 brake pad & rotor kit along with some gusseted spindles burnt together by @Bentrodder (2 years later amirite). Long overdue upgrade.

Well, the time has come to start selling some things

Had a productive day yesterday. I got rid of the shitty wiring job this audio shop did for my roof bar and swapped it to a beautiful @Iggy harness, replaced the deteriorated harness for my two middle pods in my bumper, finally hooked up my winch, relocated and added a second chase/dust light to my tire carrier, trimmed my passenger bedside so it’d stop rubbing the cab and annoying the shit out of me, bolted up the last couple bolts for both bedsides, and swapped the orange bulb for a blue led strip for the shifter light. (Link to @Jerez thread here) I think that was all lol.
