    I should also add, that a new set of dual valve springs (SuperTech) was ordered because the original set, from when LCEngineering originally built this engine, was binding when the valves were at full open. New SuperTech springs are in and work as intended. :thumbsup: All of the intake bucket shims lashed out perfectly in spec, but a few of the exhaust bucket shims were out of tolerance. Those were ordered and will be in soon.

    Here are the specs of my camshafts, for a point of reference:

    Kelford Camshafts Stage 2 Turbo cams.

    Total duration 265 intake, 270 exhaust.
    Duration at 1mm valve lift, 225 inlet, 231 exhaust.
    Total valve lift with lash set, 10.55mm inlet, 10.75mm exhaust.

    The OEM total durations are 232 intake, and 236 exhaust.

    The one pictured here was damaged by a very simple oversight of my own.

    Since then, it is at the local machine shop with a second sleeved engine of mine as well. One is the stroker and the other is not a stroker.

    The non stroker engine is being over-bored to ~3.804" from 3.701". That short block should be finished in about two weeks. As all of its components are in.

    The stroker block is going to be heading out to WPC soon.

    With the stroke that you're running, have you checked to see if your piston skirt isn't coming out of the bottom of the sleeve? Just curious how long of a stroke the stock sleeve vs this darton sleeve allows from the crank.

    Yes. Those pistons in the stroker engine are made specifically for it. Including having been made not to do just that.

    I do know what you speak of though. A common issue for crank swaps on LS engines.

    Yea just wondering if that applied with your motor. Even with the ls motors when pistons are "made" for the extra stroke they are still a bandaid for the real issue. Just trying to learn more :)
