Swing by BestBuy and grab another one. Have them price match Amazon. Make sure you click the one shipped and sold by amazon.

Well had to Amazon Prime it. No one carries the male end :notsure: be here tomorrow. But I did get the rest of the wiring done and fuse bracket made.

So It just occurred to me that plug is the rears and had nothing to do with the subs as I have a T-harness for the key and had to foresight to wire in the interconnects and remote turn on when I build it.

Set the gain at 4/5’ish, Punch EQ at the mid point and 80Htz cut off. HOLY shit this thing hits :drool:

Going to the gym and going to listen to it a bit.

If you’re using the Key though, wouldn’t that be the signal coming from the radio for the rears?

From what I have gathered from the factory head unit and amp the bass is produced in the front and the tears are just for fill. You get a really good high level off the fronts.

I’m saying aren’t you currently missing your rear speakers though? I mean they may as well not be there so it’s not a big deal till the new harness comes in

Oh yeah I misread that... yeah missing the tears and it really doesn’t even matter lol

May just upgrade the front and go bi-amp in the future.

If you don’t have rear passengers, it can be sweet to have an active front stage. A lot more power and clarity, but you lose rear fill.

i personally like rear fill, but I’ll never claim to be some high-end audiophile. I like it clean and I like it loud.

So most likely dumb question... kicker key is coming in, was planning on putting it behind the stereo, just seems easier. Does anyone know where to get a diagram of what wires are for what speakers on the factory harness?

So I fixed the harness and with the bass turned down I ran pink noise to re-adjust the gains on the key. Bass is what was making it clip before. Much louder and cleaner to match the subs. They were getting over taken.

Left the RF amp gain at 5, 80Htz, and PunchEQ just below half. Maybe I’ll get bored and break out the multi meter one day to see what the output really is.

For anyone wondering yeah it hits hard. For the $450’ish bucks I spent on the sub, amp, kit, and rack I built can’t beat it

Where did you get the spacers for your seat and is it a noticeable difference in height?

@TacoWdrd - this is a great informative thread on your stereo install. I am purchasing supplies for a my '22 Sport Access Cab upgrade in which I've got the LC7i, JL 5 channel amp and a JL stealthbox ready to go alongside the front door/dash tweeters I've already upgraded. Thanks for showing us how to make an amp rack for underneath the front seats. Is your front seat powered? I've read that there is more room under the passenger but has that reinforcement bar which requires the back of the seat to be raised up. Which side would you recommend to install a 5 channel and LC7i LOC underneath?
