[IMG] Congrats! I did 2 Yota's in the blue and no problems. The Blue is sick. Also pop a 5mm blue in each door handle pocket and a couple in the drink holders, just don't forget resistors on the positive side.

i did my gauges no problem, only thing to remember is to mark where your needles point. I didnt do this and whenever i would plug my speedo needle back in it would crank downwards. a simple clockwise turn and it was working again.

I've changed SMDs on an xbox 360 controller so I could do this. Never had the time to do it though. I want to, but still afraid I'll mess it up

Hell I didn't have any soldering experience when I took on this mod. Now I've done at least 20 for fellow members here. Just follow write ups and you will be okay. Will say this it's an addiction tho. Now I've changed my ac lights, all my switches, clock, and now am going to work on the air bag light.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
I now have successfully completed 2 of these. Although I messed up on my new truck and didn't push the needles down enough, so there was a glow. I took the whole thing back apart. I think the hardest part is not the leds, but getting the needles back where they are supposed to be!

    Hey Guys,

Sorry for the thread revival but I searched and couldn't find the answer I am Looking for. Do you guys know if the replacement lights on a '14 dash would be the same as previous models that have been discussed here? I really like the mod but am noticing some subtle differences in my dash.

My Dash in stock form already looks very much like the one pictured below... all areas that are lit up in white in this pictures are already white on mine as stock with exception to the secondary speed numbers. IE in this picture the area with the smaller ring of numbers (km / hr) is lit in amber, however it is amber even without my headlights on so I suspect on my dash they have done this with a film of amber or amber paint rather than the bulb.

I guess long story short I would like to change my needles over to blue rather than the current amber/red but am not sure without ripping apart the dash if the same lights are being used on the '14 models as what was being used for the earlier models that have been modded.

Anyone done a '14 and able to chime in?
