There's a very annoying rattle in the middle of the dash...if I tap the dash it rattles and over every bump. Does warranty cover this by any chance? I really don't feel like tearing into the dash...especially since it only has 6k miles on it.

There is a TSB for that.

Get off the Internet and get to a dealer, it's called Warranty Repair. :D

What TSB is that? I have the same rattle and would like to go in with a little ammunition. My dealer has already denied me twice for things that they say they "can't replicate"

I had the same thing (my truck has less than 1k miles) and decided to dig into it myself. I saw a bunch of threads about it and my noise was coming from the air bag surround on the passenger side dash. I had a friend drive in my neighborhood and I felt inside the dash until I found the culprit. Added a sponge and I haven't heard it since. Good thing too bc it was driving me nuts

    I've been searching and can't find a TSB...anyone have a link?

Mine is coming from somewhere directly above the headunit, on top of the dash.

One of you guys need to login to TIS and take a look around. Last time I was in was last year and I saw: T-SB-0087-10-Instrument Panel Rattle Near Glove Box. However, it was not updated to include 2011-2012, afected area was to the right of the head unit. Clearly based on how many people are reporting this problem there is one.

There was another dash rattle titled: T-SB-0106-10-Instrument Panel Rattle Below Glove Box. that was for 2005-2009 trucks...

The more people complain and not let the dealer / factory off the hook the more apt you are to receive a factory approved solution.

I have a 2009, and despite 100's of miles of tooth rattling wash-boarded roads the dash in my truck is holding up! :yay: I do need to check some bolts though... :spy:
