mine just comes on when it gets cold out, stupid thing is i havent had ANY sensors on since i got my truck. Ive tried the reset method and it never goes off. So whenever it gets warm out again it just shuts off.

If you keep it on long enough, it may burn out?

I have heard these things are pretty annoying. I am glad my truck doesn't have them. I have heard almost all manufacturers have this problem, not only Toyota.. Hopefully better technology comes along before my next vehicle purchase.

If you turn your car on and it blinks for a lil while and then stays on then its your spare. If you turn your car and it blinks once or just stays on when you turn your car on then you need to air up. I hate that stupid light since I dont have a spare tire under there anymore. My friend and I did re did the gauges white and he just de soldered off the led to the stupid light!

Actually, if the light blinks for awhile, there is a fault in the tire pressure monitor system. Has nothing to do with the spare.

In your case, im guessing you removed your spare tire, and the system couldnt find that sensor anymore, thus causing a fault.
