2013 v 6 4x4, every light in dash will light up power will surge. AC fan will blast high then low.. hooked up a code reader while this was going on . Shows no codes. Went to AutoZone let them run a code reader . Nothing. The headlight have never been bright . I have to run with fog lamps on . Recently I have noticed my horn has a short . I checked all the small fuses . Per one time this same thing happened it turned out to be a backup light fuse. I purchased new battery in December from Rural King. Possible issue? Can anyone help please

Sounds like you have an charging system or main power/ground issue, I'd want to monitor battery voltage when the issue occurs as a first step and see what that does.

My 1st Gen did this on vacation. The alternator was dying. Replaced it in the Autozone parking lot and drove home. Problem solved!

Hey denimdan 73, Thanks for the input. My alternator was going out last year around the first week of January.i had it tested and confirmed . Problem was my cash was low so I did a little thing my grandpa showed me years ago. Sounds crazy to some folks . But I sprayed half a big can of WD-40 into it while running. People at AutoZone thought I was nutz but after 10 minutes my battery was charging.. i went through 3 cans over the course of 11 months. Before Thanksgiving I changed it out then month later replaced the battery. Cheap battery only $60 . So I'm hoping its the battery.when all that happened AutoZone code reader told me the battery was to low to test. So I unhooked the battery cable truck died . I went inside go the WD -40

Dm93 thanks so much for response. I hope it is the battery. It was cheap. I figured the reader at AutoZone would have told us of a bad battery. I will let ya know the outcome.

@Stone2coma13, did you have an OBD reader hooked up to your truck when you disconnected and reconnected your battery? I had an issue with some of my gauges that turned out to be the fault of my OBD reader doing some weird feedback into the system. Details:
