So I've been feeling a little like an idiot-driver-magnet the last week with two near misses on the same highway. I figured I might as well invest in a dashcam but Amazon has 300 pages worth of the dang things and they all have those shifty 5 star reviews. Seems legit. Anyone have one they would recommend personally? Willing to spend up to $150 ish. I saw an older dashcam thread but didn't see anything more recent, please don't bite my head off if there's a more recent thread :) cheers.

I have this Dash Cam and video quality is good. Ive had it since Nov 15 and have had no problems. Live in VA so its stayed in car during hot and cold still functions great.

Heres a link to a clip from the dash cam of a car crossing the center line. There is no sound as I took audio out because a few bad words may have been spoken. lol

Do they make these that will connect via the go pro mounts?

They might. Mine suction cups to windshield right behind rear view mirror. I honestly dont notice it most the time has I have it behind rear view as best as I can. Im sure you could find a go pro clip that would work on it though.

I use an A119. They are known as the best dash cam for the price. Mine was 79 bucks. I think the newer model is 89 or so.

I have this one. It has a gopro mount and "dashcam" mode (starts and stops automatically with your truck). Saved my butt when a driver sideswiped my PARKED truck and then tried to claim it was my fault. After I showed the video to the insurance companies, they awarded him 100% of the fault.

I use the Garmin dash cam. I like it. Small/compact and quality is pretty good.

I had one for about a year until it bricked itselt. I was having memory issues and swapped cards and then the unit just bricked and refused to initialize. I tried everything and eventually had to ditch it.

I picked up the BlackVue DR650-2CH after some research and it's pretty nice. I still have to run the cable for the rear camera, but I like it so far. Wi-Fi is good, but I wish they'd have an option for it to turn on the car with the Wi-Fi off and turn it on as you need it. Great camera, but expensive. Also picked up a mirrortap for it which makes it so much better.
