I've had the Blackvue DR590W-2Ch for a year and a half, very happy with it.

It’s definitely the way to go. I think that was the video that made me pick the camera. Then I followed his guide to set up my camera’s settings

I just installed my Viofo A129 Pro Duo yesterday and have only taken one, very short trip with it. I struggled between the Viofo 119V3 and this unit. I decided on this one for three main reasons.

1- True 4K. This cam is likely to be "The" cam of the year for it's price and performance. Watch/read the reviews on it.
2- WiFi connectivity. I'll use one of my old smart phones for a designated remote so I don't have to keep switching WiFi connections. Having remote control is very nice since it's very hard to see the screen while making tweaks to your settings with the cam installed behind your rear view mirror. Didn't go with the plain A120 because only 1080p. (not even 1440p like the 119V3).
3- Rear camera. Nice for the added view and also keeps on eye on the stuff you have in the back of your truck.

I also bought DashCam Viewer PC software which is really nice for viewing clips. $25 life time license.

I really don't see how you could go wrong with any of the Viofo offerings.

Heres another vote for Viofo A119. Have 1 in each car. Been using dash cams for over 6 years. This one has been my favorite so far and i think is the best bang for your buck. I do put a polarizer lens on them right away upon install. Helps cut down the dash reflections big time. Been in 2 different accidents with the dash cam over the years and would never be without one now. I recommend always do the fully wired in power install, hide all the wires, forget its there. Use it when needed. Tap a Fuse's work great.

Just thought I'd post this on here rather than a new thread.

I think thinkware with the homelink mirror would be the cleanest install. From what I can tell you can just run straight out the back of the plug, no need for any dongles or running wires through headliners. I'm looking into 3d printing a small bracket too so no need for any double stick tape either.

I bought the single cam version of this Auckey Dr02d in 2019 and had it in my Jeep Liberty and moved it to the Tacoma. Its has worked well for me. Only issue I had was with a cheaper SD card. With a Samsung endurance card it runs great.
The single version is like $69 the dual front and back camera version is $139
    It's fairly affordable and works.

Thinkware F70 is also $69 right now if you don't need the on camera screen which I'm starting to think is pretty nice to have but not a dealbreaker for me since the memory card is super easy to access.

Anyways this post has it right: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ing-diagram-2020-tacoma.660684/#post-23110494

And yep all you need is to splice the thinkware directly to the back of the mirror with a couple of push pins and it'll work!

I popped off the rearview mirror and I think just need to print or fan up a pretty simple part to get the whole thing to fit super clean.

Anyone know if there is a simple power tap in the rear now?

Anyone have suggestions for wiring up a rear cam? Do you just run the wires in the headliner/pillars down to the fuse box?

Only thing that comes to mind in the rear is the brake/bed light and dome light... maybe there's a speaker or amp box in the back too?

i got the Cobra HD Dual View dash cam from Costco a couple years ago (its also available at Best Buy and other places) and I havent had one single issue in the 2+ years Ive had it. I live in Florida too so that thing takes a beating from the sun with no problems whatsoever. Fantastic little camera.

Final update unless anyone has rear power locations that are as easy and clean to tap as the front mirror..
