it needs a new fender, possibly hood, bumper valence, possible fender flare, grille, and possible headlight

OP: I hope you get a quick turn around at the body shop

Well just keep up the good work kid, they are called accidents for a reason, they can happen to anyone at anytime, hope you never have one. I have been driving for 15+ years before I got in my first accident that was my fault (see below). One small accident when I was in high school, not my fault though.

OP the below was close to $8900 in damage when all was said and done, body shop did a great job though and it was done in about 2.5 weeks.

Thank you, at least i know I'm not the lone teen driver that actually knows how to drive :D

but sheez op, 4,300$?! Is that the only shop that can work on your truck, i'd probably go around town looking for a reputable shop that might go cheaper.

    yeah for real!
yeah. i will! un like most teen. guys in their 20’s i don’t text and drive. if i have one in my inbox. i may reply at a red light. but if i have to say more than like 4 words i don’t. i try not to talk ether. but i have to some times.
ha. yeah. lol i’m glade to hear the same. like i said above. i don’t text when i’m driving. and try not to talk on the phone. but some times you have to. FYI it’s not illegal to TALK in TN if you are over 18. but it is illegal to text and drive. (when i have had to answer the phone. when i have had a friend or even one of my brothers) they tell me how i’m good and my driving does not change like at all! but i still try not to talk.

I learnt something today! Texas is the way to go though, you don't get sued for getting beaten while someone is robbing your house.

    I'm from Canada eh?

My first car was a 1969 Mustang when I was 15. Never wrecked it, or anything after. In fact, learned how to drive damn well, including how to come out of a 360, how to take turns quickly, and above all, how to feel what your vehicle is doing!!

I'm glad she's okay, but don't pah-pah this. She CAN be a better driver, hold her to it! I'm going through the same thing with my husband now, coaching him on how to drive a truck, which includes "don't take 90-degree turns at 35mph" and "this is a heavy vehicle, give yourself more room to slow and stop" and "PUT THE *f-bomb* PHONE AWAY"

btw, stop jinxing the SWBs, everyone! You'd think there should be a recall on "spontaneously exploding front ends, pertaining to SWBs only" the way the damage threads are popping up

Statistics say otherwise. Inexperienced drivers are far more likely to have an at-fault accident, and the difference is reflected in insurance rates.

Did you bend the inner fender or radiator support? Those require pulling, which is highly dependent on the shop's skill, and often the panels don't line up as nicely when examined up close.

they are called crashes/collisions actually because 99% can be avoided. as well as "accidents" dont exist in the legal world. i think every one who gets there license must take a mandatory driver training course because people dont know how to friggin drive anymore. i dont see why following the damn rules is so hard, speeding just get on my nerves. as well as tail gating. drive for the weather, keep following distance, and drive defensively, and everything will be well. dont assume anything because people are idiots now adays
