Is it possible on the 2014 Tacomas? I got used to them with my FJ Cruiser, sorta like the safety factor. Anyone know?

If you're not satisfied with the factory DRLs (the orange ones inboard from your headlights), you can just leave the headlights on all the time... They will shut off automatically when you shut the truck off and open your door, and then come back on whenever you restart it. Takes all the brainwork right out if it.

Thats exactly what I do. HOWEVER... One rainy day I noticed a window was left open, so in a rush I unlocked doors with the remote, entered through the pass door, turned the key to power up the windows. Then I left.. At the end of the day I came back to a dead battery. Evidently, that sequence will allow the lights to remain on.. I tried it a few times, and while exiting the drivers side door will shut off the lights, if stalk left in "on" position , reentry on pass side will not. At least on my 2009..

Similarly, I installed the Sylvania DRLs in my lower grill. Very simple and they work well. No pics yet.

    Things I need to tow.
My '14 has DRL's, but it's a separate position (1st) on the light switch so their use is optional. You can leave the switch in the 1st position if you want them on all the time and it will work as it does for the other lights. My brother-in-law has an '11 and his light switch doesn't have a separate position for the DRL's, so his are on all the time.

Below are some pictures of the Sylvania DRLs I installed. Like Cain stated of the Phillips type, they are "plug & play"; that simple, there are 3 wires to connect... 12v, ground, & parking light. The last connection allows them to dim when the headlights are turned on. There is a module that senses the voltage difference from the alternator and switches them on/off accordingly.

The driver's side appears brighter because of the angle.

Only certain ones come with DTRL's no matter which model you have.

Seems reasonable at this point, to make both side (all 4 on 4 doors) shut off the Auto Headlights. I never could figure out why they can't do that. Diodes, man! Diodes!.... I may run a wire from the pass. side over to the driver's side to eliminate this problem. I've done the same damn thing.
