DC Owners, do you wish you had an AC/RC?

RC is cool, but I like the AC. I can keep my bow and hunting gear on the jump seats.

DCSB is basically an SUV with an open bed, just like a Honda Ridgeline, and if you're considering DCLB, it would make more sense to get a full size long bed crew cab. They have more power and room, and they get just as good mpg.

Rode a short school bus so bought a short truck. Rc for me....less to wash

 

Not married and no kids, So no I wouldn't consider a RC or a AC. DCSB FTW

I wanted an AC. I wanted an AC, 4 cylinder, manual, 4x4.

But wife, and 2 kids in boosters and infant front facing seats...well I ended up with a DC 4.0 auto 4x4.

Still love it!

DC was my only option with two kids in booster seats.

Plus I needed back seats for my stormtrooper floor mats!!!

I love the double cab. Gives me plenty of space and even the behind/under seat storage is amazing.

 

My grand mother's suv can haul more stuff than a 5' bed.

I completely disagree. I spent a couple months driving my dad's Crewcab short bed Tundra which is actually longer than my DCLB Taco. Maybe that's why to me the Tacoma doesn't feel all that long.

Also have to consider width and weight of a full size. I took that 4x4 Tundra to Pismo and it got a bit hairy in the soft sand ( I did not air down as I was only planning on 20 minutes before getting back on the road). If I had stopped momentum I would have gotten stuck. The Taco is much better in this regard because it weighs less.

Not to mention the Tundra barely fits in some of these small parking stalls you see today. Even when it did I was always worried about door dings.
