It makes a lot of sense. I think I’ll go with the “buy once cry once” mentality and just suck it up. Wish that price didn’t go up lol but from what I hear the sbc’s are top notch. I may just go with them.

Hey guys need some guidance. I wanna level the front of my truck.

I recently acquired some OME 885 springs for FREE from a local 3rdgen owner locally. Can I run these springs with my factory struts? Or is it not recommended? I just want it leveled. Not wanting a spacer lift either if I need front struts will I need to AAL the rear?

Thanks in advance. Pic of 885 vs stock and my truck on the bottom photo 496447BD-A538-497A-A930-00CD81A25F50.jpg

You need different struts like 5100s or Ome struts with those coils. You'll probably be slightly nose high without anything in the rear. A 2" AAL might give you more rake than you'd like. A 1" block or 1.5" AAL would probably be best.

I know you said your tires are stock size, do you think you'd need UCAs if you went with bigger tires? 1-2" bigger?

Tires are not stock size, they're 265/70/17 so one size bigger.

Are you talking 1-2 inches taller or wider? What wheel offset are you planning to run?

UCAs would be needed if your lift goes higher.

I'd love to go wider and taller, but preferably an inch or two taller in order to get a wee bit more clearance. I'd like to use a -10 offset (VTX rogue SL Satin black) tire, so maybe not wider since Oahu has its dumb recon rules.

If you're looking to go with a 285/70 or 285/75 tire you're going to need to consider a cab mount chop (CMC) and possibly UCAs depending on tire clearance.

If 255/80 tire you MIGHT not have any rub.

275/70/17 or 255/75/17 you should be ok without any rub.

It did at first but after settling up front it's still just a little tail high, still very happy with the end results.

Here's the latest pics, I've also bumped up to 285 tires with a CMC.

Did you ever pull the trigger on the setup? I have the exact year/ truck and would love to hear how it's going and what wheels/ tires you went to.

Hey everybody, I’m the new kid on the block. I have a 2019 TRD Off Road. I put the Rough Country 2” leveling spacer on my front suspension. I’m looking to get new tires now and I’d like to get the largest tire possible without any rub whatsoever. I might be asking for too much here but I’d also like for them to stick out a little further also. I believe this can potentially cause rubbing as well. Any suggestions would be extremely helpful.

I'm still running 887 and have been happy. No interest in changing anything yet.

No issues at all, I still have a slight rake which I've always wanted to keep.
