Hey Everyone, I'm new... shopping for a Tacoma. Found a nice '17 that I like, but I noticed something that I've never seen before:

Tacoma Double Cab, Short Bed, 4x4 Off Road trim with climate control, heated seats but no sun roof. I've only ever seen the climate control and heated seats paired with a sun roof.

Has anyone else seen this combo?

    Thanks.

One of my loaner SR5s had backup sensors and blind spot monitoring.

Two options that shouldn't have been on an SR5 (afaik).

Maybe it was a custom order? Regional thing?

Thanks @tacoflavoredkisses1, I was thinking it might have been a custom order or specific to this region (Im in New England)

I'm glad to hear they exist. I love my truck, except the sunroof. Takes up too much headroom.

Interesting point, I'll note the headroom today when I test drive. I'm also going to listen out for a rear-end howl, been reading a lot about that on the forum.

@daddy_o Not sure what pics would add to this... it simply doesnt have a sunroof, but has all the Off Road goodies. None the less, I'll try to capture one today.

A rare combination like this needs pics for us to drool over.

OP, not sure if it makes a difference, but is it Auto or Manual?

Probably has an aftermarket sunroof delete kit. Would stay away if you don’t want problems down the line.

Sounds like my Canadian one. Are the rear bumpers color matched too?

They changed the packages for 2018. There's a thread around here somewhere detailing the changes.

Are you in Canada? Climate control and heated seats are standard features up there.

    OP stated New England
But agree sounds like a Canadian truck. I have the exact same. (With color matched bumpers standard too)

I LOVE my heated seats, they get much warmer than the 4runner seats too (wife just got a 18 TRD off road 4runner) .
