My slim cubby bulbs just went out and I am thinking about buying DDM tuning bulbs...should these just plug right in and still be able to use all the other slim cubby components such as ballasts and plugs? The slim cubby bulbs worked great and were a great product I am just wanting to go with the cheaper route for replacement this time. Any help is appreciated.

If I had one of my 5000K bulbs turn pink on me then go out does that usually mean it is just the bulb or does that mean the ballast could be bad too?

You can flip the bulb to the other side, and if it still goes out, its the bulb. If the going out stays on the same side, its the ballast.

As long as both sides use the same type connector, yes they should work just fine otherwise.
