Not sure If I should even bother with a non Toyota employee making such a claim. The inventory manager at this place called me telling me that none will be allocated to the five state mid atlantic region that includes Maryland. http://www.jerrystoyota.com
Toyota wouldn't even have marketing data to suggest where to sell it since its never been offered in the Tacoma before.

Wait till the build site is up.
Wait till the spring/summer of 2016 when they have the trucks on the lot.
Bet you will find some, at least you could order one.

Yeah I'm almost tempted to blow this dude off even if he comes in a few dollars under my current quote winner just because its a sign of other shenanigans that will come up when it comes time to close the deal.

That will be a very popular model and according to leaked documents about 40 percent of trd off road sales. He just wants to sell you something today. Go somewhere else or tell him he doesn't know what he's talking about. First do some research here and then go school him calmly.

If the price is right? He's talking $500 under my latest sub $2K under the 1st offer. Its like the dude still has to play the hard sell slimey car sales man shit when he is already $2500 under where I was a day ago. This is a good sign though. They are trying to put on a facade of scarcity when in reality they have a lot of 2015s on the lot and are facing more 16s on the way.

Magical process my ass. My allocation (TRD OR Short Bed Manual in Inferno with Tech Package) took all of 3 minutes to put into the system. They just cancelled one out that was coming their way and put mine in its place

And guess what starts to happen when Toyota notices this: Holy shit they adjust shipments and production to accommodate!! I don't even get what the dude was trying to do? You just gave me a discount. Im on board but if you are going to make shit up then now that makes me not trust your deal.

So is that a 0 as in none in for 7544 FE HH? Then he is actually correct. Guess they are truly only making them on order. For a 1st year option that involves sawing a rectangle into the sheet metal that's probably a smart move. Doesn't mean its set in stone. Just what they are doing out the gate.

I have a TRD Off Road Long Bed Double Cab 4x4 (premium/Tech) on order from my dealership in PA. They had told me none of those were allocated for the Mid Atlantic region. So I put an order in about a week ago. Expected to be at the dealership in another 6-8 weeks maybe.

Okay, I think I know what's happening and the dealer may not be such a douche after all. My inventory manager explained to me that for at least the next 5 months, there is heavy consideration for availability of parts for construction, so Toyota limits percentages based on availability of source materials. For example, if their JBL supplier can only provide 500 units a month then no amount of customer demand will get any more than have been planned to be built. Same would go for moon roofs or 4wd components.

I'm living that hell now - I've got an approved build, but no build date because of all the various supplier components are allocated for September so far. Damn it.

If a region has restrictions, it may be merely because the limited numbers of build components are already allocated to other trims for the next few production cycles.

Maybe things will be less restrictive in a few months when supply can catch up to demand. This isn't just a tweak of the 2015, and adjustments have been made through much of the supply chain. Toyota can only build trucks with whatever parts they have on hand.

I have been dealing with three dealers to get A $500 over invoice price. One dealer is actually below Invoice.....But I would pay a small premium ($500 over invoice Plus TTL) to the local dealer because it's a first year truck and I want priority service. All the trucks are coming out of Texas so ordering is not the nightmare one would have on a Japan built unit that has to be shipped. Should be trucks in the pipeline in some cases. I just don't want $699 /$238 Invoice for ToyotaCare and $300 Mats Save almost a grand right there to get a custom build without that crap. But yeah I want the 2WD Sport FP package without the tonneau cover. I'll wait unti next year if I have to. I have a Miata to buzz around with and the wife's CRV

I would think though if the truck already has a production date they already know they'll have the parts to proceed as long as there are not changes requested to the build. Did you make changes to your build as that's why its delayed?

My dealer here in PA called me today and said that they could order me a gray TRD OR DCSB, but they cannot add the premium package or the JBL that I requested. That really sucks, not sure what I should do. I'm leaning heavily toward just having a local shop upgrade the OEM sound system, but I'm not crazy about the chrome rear bumper.

Oh yeah. I turned a white DCSB SR5 into a Blazing Blue DCLB TRD Sport with EVERYTHING. It's basically a Limited Longbed with a hood scoop. Toyota has agreed to build it exactly the way I want it, but they never promised on when. The inventory manager did explain that my build date may get pushed (was supposed to be 9/11) because of supply availability.

I've been waiting since November of last year (when the quality of the Canyon really let me down), so I can wait a wee bit longer.

I believe I may be in the same boat. Ordered a double cab, longbed, 4wd, sport, all packages, jbl, and tonneau cover.

Dealer tried to change an sr5 allocation to sport, but to far along. Said I will have the next longbox they can get there hands on, whatever that means.

He also told me that he believes it will be the first week of September before he knows more. Tomorrow's friday, weeks over and no word.

Beginning to wonder how much longer the wait will be or if I can even get what I want without comprises. He said it's on order, but I am always a skeptic. When I get some paperwork with an actual VIN I will believe it. If build date is 9/11 what do estimate for delivery?
