I'm having extreme difficulty getting the offical list of parts included for a warranty Frame Replacement at my local dealer. I called Toyota customer service asking for an email with the complete parts list and they asked "why do I want to know this"? I want to know this so I'm not paying for parts that should be included in the replacement! The dealer is trying to sell me all sorts of additional stuff also. Toyota said they can't find the list and that someone would have to get back to me. I've heard that labor for additonal parts is half price?? I can't get confirmation on this either.

Here's the frame replacement parts list I found while researching various forums:

    1) Frame
    2) Lower Front Control Arms
    3) Rear Leaf Springs
    4) Front to Rear Brake Lines
    5) New Coolant
    6) Brake Fluid

Am I missing anything? The dealer told me my emergency brake is NOT included in this list. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Did you ever get the list you were looking for? I've just started the process. The frame on my 2003 Tacoma was udercoated years ago. Now it's been determined that it's unsafe to drive and a new frame has been ordered. I want to know what's included in the kit and what the dealer obligations are in terms of labor charges.
I wanted to supply the dealer with aftermarket shocks (Bilstein) and have them install those instead of putting the old shocks back on. The dealer wants to charge me $222 to install new front shocks. The shocks will be off the truck, why can't they just put on new ones instead of the old.

When we do frames we always make a list of recommended items.
Most things like t/belts and water pumps are like 50% of retail time.
Rear shocks no additional time. Fronts are a little different and there is a small labor charge. Definately not 222 worth.
It's on a case by case basis. The customer is happy with his new frame and big savings on maintenance.
    Sorry for your situation.

Yeah that's why I'm so livid these guys are just trying to nickel and dime me. Oh and yesterday I went up there and they said the best they could do was 75 an hour. Which is bull shit. All that garbage has to come off the truck anyways why not replace it with new parts!?!
Rickhenderick toyota in Fayetteville NC.... nightmare to work with. So we are playing the back and forth game.

I'd go somewhere else. I have an aftermarket suspension lift and my dealership re-installed everything for free.

If they already have my frame can I just dip to another dealer? Don't think that'll workout for me well haha

Just grab your tools and go to the parts department and buy the shocks...then barge into the body shop while they have your rear end all over the place and do it yourself. :luvya:
