Meh armor rear bumper with swingout. They're insurance pays for a rear hit . Don't put on your cooper helmet yet.

This thread is fun. What I really see taking a hit here are aftermarket grilles.

Why do you need the sensors??? You have a foot for brakes, hands for the wheel and eyes for the road...best sensors.
If somebody is hitting you hard in the back, is the sensors going to stop you from hitting the car in the front?
THIS one needs sensors. Are you the one?

Easy there Debbie Downer. Theres absolutely nothing you can do to control whos behind you. If that bothers you you might want to sell the truck and just stay home .Full frame check. Armor bumper check. Or you could just keep driving it with a plastic bumper? I'll start making a tinfoil hat to sit on top of your cooper helmet for ya.

Oh wait I almost forgot

A car in another lane VS 2-3" higher, apples to oranges.
That being said, it's not unrealistic to think there are little settings in the system that are thrown off by getting a lift.

Funny how some people will believe everything they read or hear from a dealership or manufacturer.

So what happens when you haul a heavy load or tow something... obviously the front will be higher and out of calibration...
    Just deactivate then?

Dealer also probably says no towing or hauling heavy loads because that may cause an accident too...

But, how do they account for Taco-lean?

Let's go keyboard radar engineers, state your thesis!

I ran into the same issues when we were buying my wife's Forester XT. You can't lower the ones with the safety sense junk, so I got a premium sans the sensors so I could get coilovers. I'm sure you could recalibrate within certain parameters.

I didn't read this whole thread, but surely a level can't throw it that far off, if that's the case, hauling a trailer or a load in the bed would cause the sensors to act up?

There are times I wish I had the luxuries of the p&t package, OR package etc. Then other times I'm really glad I bought my basic ass SR...
