Dealer quote for new leafs. Is this a reasonable price?

    I want new leaf springs for the back of my truck 'cos mine are getting old and worn. Asked a dealer for a quote on the new leaf springs and he quoted me:

    "$2088.00

    This is parts and labour but does not include the tax. Let us know when we can book you in"

    $1044 each side are you fucking kidding me. Is this reasonable??!?! Cos there's no way in hell I can afford that

    Get some aftermarket leaf packs for $500ish for the parts and install them yourself in about two hours.

    Here you go: If nothing else, buy these and take them in to have installed. But really, if you have an impact, a buddy, and a couple hours swapping out leaf springs isn't terribly complex.

    Haha thanks guys. Thought they were on being outrageous. $2088 before labor and taxes.. yeah right..

    I might ask if the springs are coated in gold
