2013 dbl cab v6. Talking with the dealer the other day and they said Toyota now says 0-20 oil in the v6 instead of the 5-30. I tried looking into this and cant find any facts on it. Anyone else hear of this?

I've heard nothing of the sort for the 4.0, although I don't think I would have too much of a problem running 0w-20,,, although I doubt I would do it without some firm documentation from Toyota or an actual oil pressure gauge.

Manual states 5w30...I bought the platinum warranty partially becuse is came with 8 free oil changes and the dealership told me it took synthetic...but when i took it in for a change they told me it took regular and if i wanted to upgrade to 0-20 mobil 1 and i would have to pay the difference which was more than i wanted too...

Look on your oil filler cap.

The dealer here changed all their bulk oil over to 0w20 5+ years ago. They put it in everything made since 2000 I believe.
