OP is struggling with the forum stuff. He posted a response on his profile page.

When it comes to JD power... they focus too much on getting a large sample that covers so many different subgroups that their data becomes skewed. Anytime you “ask people” for data, you’re not going to get accurate results. JD power should actually use data from dealerships for problems concerning warranty work. Much more accurate. As it is right now, and a member here confirmed it to me, jd power and those consumer reports are bullshit. They are opinion based, and based on the minimum number of responses with vehicle sales being the weighting factor.... no wonder Ridgeline keeps winning it doesn’t sell!

    OME and worth every penny.
I still don't think a dealer would cut or weld on a new vehicle. They would send you to 4WDave down the street.
He may have a 2" and doesn't really want a lift at all.

However all I have is reasoning and I hate to bring reasoning to an anecdotal fight.

Common sense tells me this as well, but I guess you never know. That is why I am so curious.

OP's response, posted on his profile page, as uncovered by @jmauvais.

"Oldbuzzard: Will get latter today and post. He said he had to do "metal cutting" to put the kit in. I didn't see anything that looked like fresh metal work. (And I'm a retired aircraft mechanic). I mean every lift kit I'm familiar with is basically just spacers. That is what you see on the rear axle - spacers and new, long u-bolts. I didn't see anything I could id as spacers in what I call the front shock tower. Thanks
