    I don't believe it.

No way to warranty a truck that's been cut.

4 inch lift it’s most likely a drop bracket kit which requires cutting of the crossmember in a 4wd but i definitely think u should post some pictures so we can get a better idea. it is possible to be undone but it’s not something that is very common

There's dealerships that do drop bracket lifts as well as aftermarket larger tires, spacer lifts etc.

They'll warranty the truck but unfortunately other dealerships won't honor the warranty because it's not their truck or work. So youre stuck to whoever installed the lift.

Also their lift they sold you violates some parts of your warranty. So get ready for a fight.

@Oldbuzzard if he said he had to do 'metal cutting", I can almost assure you they did a drop bracket lift. As such, they cut the crossmember to install the brackets. If that is in fact what they did, then it is pretty much permanent.

Did you already sign for this Truck?

    If not run a way.

I'm surprised they would sell an aftermarket lift, unless it was already installed on a truck they were selling. That way the customer can see it, and I don't think they would want to prolong the time it takes for the customer to take delivery of the vehicle.

They should have to disclose the manufacturer of the lift you purchased.

If the dealership does the work, or a contracted company does. They can still warranty it and up-sell it as a ‘package’ and they’re still able to warranty it through the approved channels.

It’s either the dealership, or outsourced to 4WheelParts for dealer work through ‘DSI’ which is a business offshoot of TransAmerica, who owns 4WheelParts that does ‘dealer services international’ who does the middleman for the ‘dealer work’.

    Wow.

Buyer beware seems to apply here.

Did they advise that this lift is not Toyota warrantied? It's only warrantied by the lift manuf. and the dealership 'may' warranty some labor to go with that.

Take that puppy to any other dealer for suspension warranty work, or driveline work that they can blame on the lift, and you're gonna get nada.

A very good point, but not everyone buying a vehicle from a dealer is an avid off-roader and outdoorsman. I’m willing to bet 75% of the first post problem users here are general daily driving “mall crawlers” who don’t know much about DBB lifts/clearance/etc.

I think he ran to the hardware store to get a stepladder to get in and out of the truck :)

If he hasn't signed yet, I would walk away...very fast.
