Don't pay for them. I was a detailer at a Ford dealership for almost 4 years. Part of my job was doing the 3-way protection package. They usually consist of undercoating the carriage with sound deadener, paint sealant and interior leather/carpet/fabric protectant.

Our dealership typically charged $600.00 - $1,500.00 for thisand would add it into the overall price of the car. This is almost 100% profit for them and goes straight into the salesmans pocket.

The real cost to the dealership is under $100.00, depending on how much they pay thier tech. The products they use are easily obtainable at any auto parts store.

The only piece of the 3-way you may want to pay for if you live near the ocean is the undercoating becuase it may also help reduce any rust issues.

Miguars makes a great paint sealant, we used Blue Coral products.
3M's Scotchguard or a similar fabric protectant will often be better or the same in quality than the dealerships spray.
Leather softeners/conditioners/protectants can be found anywhere. I personally think Blue Corals is sub-par.

If your dead set on having the dealership do all this for you (maybe your handicapped and can't use spray bottles or do wiping action) understand that everything at a dealership is negotiable as far as price.

Remember, it's all profit for them, do it yourself. for $30.00
