Hey guys, my brother is looking for a new Tacoma so I'm going to help him find one. Does anyone know of any local Toyota dealership in Oregon or Washington that will order me a Tacoma at MSRP and won't charge a market adjustment fee?

The only way you'll get close to MSRP is if they have units on the lot. It's not a principle thing, its just business. All dealers have tactics to make money.

Prices are stabilizing and there shouldnt be as much of an issue. Check around for dealers near you.

Five years ago it was easy, I got the Costco price and then called around to local dealerships. I ended up buying from Kendall in Bend because they had the color and options I wanted for less than the Costco price. Now days it’s a crap shoot as many dealerships have their “only price” with no chance to negotiate and others do the “market adjustment” thing. The one good thing you have going is that there’s a dozen Toyota dealerships within 50 miles of Portland.

I was on Wilsonville Toyota's lot last month and they had some trucks. Mostly SR5s and SRs. They were all MSRP minus $250. I was across the river in Vancouver at McCord's and they had trucks, nearly all SRs. Their deal was MSRP. I saw no TRDs on either lot. Besides floor mats, there was no dealer installed options, such as coatings, theft tracking....I bought a car for my daughter at Wilsonville and it appeared the profit center was extended warranties and separate electronics warranties. I didn't accept their add ons and they didn't push it.

Thanks guys! I think I'll start at Wilsonville for my best chance and go from there.

This dealership scored 4.9 stars on Google Maps reviews! Best I've seen!

I've been working with them trying to get a new Tundra. They have been pretty easy to deal with.

Beaverton have a few below MSRP as well, but most are above MSRP.

I bought my TRD AC OR from Toyota of Portland about a month ago with no markup. Funnily enough they had a mark up on all their used Tacos, but none on the few they had on the lot.

    Seconding Wilsonville Toyota.

Just picked up my ‘22 DCLB TRD Sport for $250 under MSRP. I put down a deposit in early June on a truck that was being built that week. Some issue came up and it was taking forever to move from the factory so they got me into another similar one that arrived sooner.

Overall good experience. They seemed the be straight shooters and didn’t push hard on extra fluff like optional packages, warranties, etc.

I just found a crowdfunded website where you can look up dealerships by state and see if they are charging a mark up or not. You can also add to the list on your experience at the dealerships you visited as well! Super-useful!
